On October 19th, 9am-2pm, SDC’s Pomona team is working with the College of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences. The clinic will be located on the west-facing side of the Western U Pet Health Center (701 E Second St, Pomona, CA 91766) to offer free veterinary care and related services to pets of people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. They will also be providing dog and cat food, free health screenings for owners, flu vaccines for the first 30 people between 11am-1pm, hygiene kits, hot meals, and community service resources. Appointments are available, walk ins will be seen while availability and supplies last. All dogs should be on leashes and cats in carriers.
