Our SDC team in Bakersfield, CA offers free veterinary care for pets of people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness at two homeless shelters on the first Thursday of each month from 9am to noon (1301 Chester Ave shelter followed by 1622 Union Ave shelter. Open to residents only). Rabies vaccinations, spay/neuter vouchers, and an exam of minor medical problems are amongst the services being offered. Dogs and cats welcome.
