We are hugely grateful to all Midwest FurFest participants and organizers for donating over $135,000 to The Street Dog Coalition in December 2024.

In December 2022, Midwest FurFest selected our Chicago team as their charity recipient and we were blown away by their generosity, compassion, and kindness. Thank you, furries; we continue to pay it FURward and think of you every time we do.

Our Chicago team hosts recurring clinics alongside The Night Ministry Health Outreach Bus which parks at bus stops throughout Chicago. Click here for more clinic details.

Team Leads:

Dr. Stacy

Dr. Stacy (second from the left) is a small animal veterinarian in Evanston, IL and provides relief services for animal hospitals in the Chicagoland area. A Nebraska native, she attended Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and moved to Chicago after graduation. She got involved with providing care to pets of Chicago's homeless through The Night Ministry in 2013 and took over the Chicago Team Lead in 2019. She lives in Chicago with her husband, three sons, two dogs and a recently adopted kitten. She still continues to root for the Chicago Cubs and the Nebraska Husker's football team, no matter their records.

Dr. Lynee

Dr. Lynlee grew up in Steger, Illinois and has not strayed far from Chicago’s south suburbs. She attended Marian Catholic High School, graduated with a BS from Eastern Illinois University, and then earned her doctorate from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Dr. Lynlee has been practicing small animal medicine and surgery for almost 30 years and still enjoys caring for her feline and canine patients every day. She joined Street Dog Coalition in 2018 and always looks forward to meeting the residents of Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood along with their beloved animal companions. She lives with her husband and way too many animals in the south suburbs. In her spare time, she loves to read and travel the world.
